About

Ever since I was quite young, I wanted to be a crone: a wise elder who lives alone at the edge of the forest and is visited by townsfolk in search of a potion, a spell or a smart way to solve a gnarly riddle.

Several decades later, I’ve finally landed in cronedom, although my hut is in the suburbs and I share it with my spouse and a little tuxedo cat named Artemis.

I’m queer and my pronouns are they/them. I’ve been a Buddhist since 1996 and I was ordained in 2019 when I was given the name Khasanti. It means they who find peace in the open sky.

Astrological Training & Practice

I am a graduate of the Nightlight Astrology School where I completed the Year 1, Year 2, Year 3 and Horary certification programs in ancient astrology, taught by Adam Elenbaas. The curriculum is extremely thorough and includes deep contemplation on the spiritual and philosophical dimensions of astrology as well as an entire semester on astrological counselling. I’ve been seeing astrology clients since 2022.

I am currently a teaching assistant for the Nightlight Astrology Year 2 Program and a reader in the Nightlight Affordable Reading Clinic.

My practice is rooted in Hellenistic astrology though I do incorporate some modern elements, such as outer planets and use of archetypes. I use whole-sign houses and traditional rulerships.

Witchcraft Lineage

I’ve been a largely self-taught solo practitioner for many moons. I’m a huge fan of Kelly-Ann Maddox and Aidan Wachter and consider them both to be mentors. I got seriously into tarot in 2016, taking classes with Susannah Conway and Lindsay Mack. My current practice is largely animist with a sprinkling of chaos magick, always guided by Buddhist ethics.

What to Expect from an Astrology Consultation with Me

An astrological consultation with me is a vessel, woven out of your earnest inquiry & my astrological knowledge. Together we fill the vessel with our open, intuitive exploration of the topics at hand, and listen for the Oracle to speak. This doesn’t mean the conversations aren’t sometimes irreverent or even hilarious, because I don’t believe spiritual practice must be a very somber affair. That said, you should be aware that encounters with the sacred, mysterious and beautiful are an occupational hazard of hanging out in the realm of astrology.

What to Expect from Any Session with Me

My sessions are person centered and I have absolute respect for the autonomy and agency of my clients. I offer illumination and context which hopefully provide you greater insight from which to make your own choices, but I will never tell you what to do. I prefer consults to be as collaborative as possible – after all, you are the expert in your life.

As a queer neurodivergent person I am dedicated to providing a compassionate space for folks with marginalized identities.

I love seeing repeat clients because the more we meet, the more you get to experience being deeply witnessed in the unfolding archetypal themes of your life by someone who sees you and knows you on that level – almost like a regular visit to the witch in the hut at the edge of the forest.
