Libra Season 2024
September 22 – October 22

Libra season kicks off with a decisive vibe shift on September 22 with both Venus and the Sun moving into signs where they don’t have the easiest time (Scorpio & Libra respectively). Harmony and connection may be a little harder to come by this month and, while your desire and ability to look out for others may be heightened, just make sure you’re not harming yourself in your efforts not to rock the boat.
After a couple of weeks of plain sailing on the communication and technology front, Mercury runs into some bumps from September 25, so try to get any detail-oriented or writing projects wrapped up before then if you can. Mercury gets a temporary boost on September 30 when they are reborn in the heart of the Sun (aka a Mercury Cazimi). Look out for messages of renewal in the area of life that corresponds with Libra in your chart.
We have the second eclipse of the current season on October 2. This is the penultimate eclipse across the Aries-Libra axis so check which houses Aries & Libra fall in for your rising sign and reflect on whether any of the associated house topics have been “up” for you since April 2023. Any such storylines should be approaching their conclusion at this point, and there may be a little eclipse preview message around September 29 and September 30 when the Sun and Mercury conjoin the South Node in Libra.
On October 4, Mars enters his pre-retrograde shadow phase. Mars will be going back and forth across this particular area of your chart (predominantly your Cancer house) until the end of April 2025 so buckle in for the ride. Look out for themes of conflict (particularly around protecting the vulnerable, possibly with a danger of passive aggression) and/or increased energy and drive in this area of your chart.
Jupiter stations retrograde in Gemini on October 9 which is not anything to be concerned about per se – it just means you might be going back over some ground already trodden since mid-July in your Gemini house, and you’ll have until May 2025 to let that narrative play out. We may see stories in the news or in our circles, about folks who have been talking a big game having to walk back or at least rework some of their grandest proclamations.
On October 14, Venus in Scorpio receives an opposition from revolutionary Uranus so be on the lookout for surprises from the depths in the life area represented by Scorpio in your natal chart and in relation to Venusian matters such as love, art, women and queer folks. The next day Venus runs into a patch of fog thrown by Neptune which could feel like either confusion around what happened the day before, or alternatively a pleasant soft-focus take on the matters at hand.
