The main transit of this month is Mars opposite Pluto which will be in effect from October 24 through November 14, with a peak around November 3. Look at which of your natal houses correspond with Cancer & Capricorn for clues as to which areas of your life might be affected. With Pluto being the lord of the underworld and Mars the god of war, this could be a subjectively uncomfortable time involving dramatic conflict, power struggles and/or contending with shadow material (our own or that of other people). With luck it will turn out for the best – sometimes something harmful has to be brought into the light of day before it can be addressed. Since this transit will be in effect for around 3 weeks, do try to pace yourself and make time for any kind of self- and community care that helps bolster stamina.

The New Moon on November 1 is steeped in these Mars-Pluto vibes and, if you already have clarity by then about how this is expressing itself for you, the New Moon could be a good time for some kind of ritual intention or letting go. If not, you can’t go wrong with a high-level intention like “I ask for the courage to face and let go of that which no longer serves me”.

The Full Moon on November 15 should see a quieting of these energies, though it may bring some fireworks around whatever themes have been up for you in your Taurus house since May of 2018.

Also on November 15 Saturn stations direct in Pisces so this could indicate a turning point for matters connected with your Pisces house, especially if you happen to have Saturn in Pisces (or Gemini, Virgo or Sagittarius) natally.

The final big deal of the month is Pluto finally moving into Aquarius and officially opening a new 22-year chapter of activation and discovery in whichever area of life corresponds to Aquarius for you.

Additionally the following astrology will be in effect for all or part of the month:

All month: Jupiter retrograde in Gemini. We talked about this last month but in general be prepared for things to slow down or require some backpedaling in your Gemini house
10/22 approx.: Mercury emerges from under the beams of the Sun. Communication, detail work and brain wrangling get a little easier for a week and a half before Mercury heads into some more rough waters starting 11/02 (Mercury enters their exile in Sagittarius) and 11/07 (Mercury enters their pre-retrograde shadow*)
11/03 Venus opposes Jupiter. This day should bring some blessings in your Gemini/Sagittarius houses in the midst of the ongoing Mars-Pluto situation
